Midori

My browser of choice was Google Chrome, but latest versions became resource hogs and I was feeling this in my older machines. I decided to take a look at alternative browsers and settled on Midori.

I turned off JavaScript (best JS is dead JS), turned on ad blocking and keyboard shortcut customization (Ctrl-F to Ctrl-S as in Emacs). It's loading noticably faster and I can't guess the number of tabs open in my browser while using other applications.

If you're using Linux, it's probably in your distro's repository. If you're on Windows Midori home page provides both installable and portable packages.
